Joan Schwartz

Joan Schwartz, 59, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, October 21, 2013 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a sudden illness.

A daughter of the late John and Ruth (Richard) Ellis, Joan was born January 20, 1954 at Dover, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Schwartz of the home, her children, Shana (Christian Haas) Carman of Bellville, Ohio, Scott (Winona) Goss of Port Washington, Jay (Lisa) Schwartz of New Philadelphia, Chad (Trudy) Schwartz of Strasburg and Rick Schwartz of New Philadelphia; a brother, John (Mary Lou) Ellis of Nashport, Ohio; eight grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew and a good friend, Pat Fanti of New Philadelphia.

In keeping with Joan’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
