Jo Ann Nordyke

Jo Ann Nordyke, 33, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, January 25, 2003 at Morning View Care Center in New Philadelphia following an extended illness.Born in Dayton, she is survived by her mother, Rosemary J. Neal Nordyke and her mother’s companion Tony Melching of Carrollton and her father and his wife, William E. (Joy) Nordyke of Deersville. Due to her illness, she received an honorary diploma from New Philadelphia High School in 1987 and prior to her illness was a member of the New Philadelphia High School band.In addition to her parents, she is also survived by a brother, William F. (Stacy) Nordyke of Wainwright, her paternal grandmother, Rosella Nordyke of Dayton and her maternal grandmother, Bertha Holman of Dover, Delaware. A sister, Rosemary Nordyke, a brother, Robert Nordyke, her paternal grandfather, Thomas Nordyke and her maternal grandfather, Joseph Neal precede her in death. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Paul McFadden and Staff, Dr. Morris Kinast and Associates and the Staff at Morning View Care Center for their dedication during the many years of Jo Ann’s illness.In keeping with the family’s wishes, her body is to be cremated and a private burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio at a later date. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory in New Philadelphia is in charge of arrangements.
