Jessie Meehan, 77, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Heather Knoll Retirement Village in Tallmadge, Ohio.
A daughter of the late Mable (Posey) and Newton Skinner, Jessie was born October 10, 1938 in Burnsville County West Virginia.
In her free time Jessie enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Mary Zifer bowling team. She loved spending ample time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, concerts and making zucchini bread.
She is survived by three daughters, Annie (Dan) Tompkins, Sue Riggs, and Mary (John) Beamer; twin sons, Mike (Peggy) and Pat Meehan; two sisters, Pauline (Jack) Skinner and Irene (Robert) Riffle; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jessie is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Meehan; two brothers, Tommy and Robert Skinner; a grandson, Jamie Meehan and great-grandson Gabriel.
Visitation will be held on Friday June 10, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where a funeral service celebrating Jessie’s life will begin at 4 PM in the funeral homes chapel, with Don George officiating. Cremation care will follow through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
