Jerry Lee Tidrick, 59, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, December 20, 2005 in Union Hospital at Dover following a 1 ½ year battle with cancer.A son of the late Robert and Betty (Barcus) Tidrick, Jerry was born October 2, 1946 in Dover, Ohio.He was a 1965 graduate of Tusky Valley High School and was formerly employed by Ravens Trailer Sales.Jerry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served in the Vietnam War. Jerry was an avid hunter and also enjoyed gardening.He is survived by his loving wife, Earlene (Steiner) Tidrick, whom he married November 21, 1965; two daughters, Lori (Stephen) Sullivan of New Philadelphia and Chris (Chad) Houze of New Philadelphia; one son, Jerry (Chaleen) Tidrick of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Christopher and Jonathan Sullivan and Jarod and Hannah Houze; one brother, Robert (Neva) Tidrick of New Philadelphia and one sister, Kathy (Bob) Lewis of New Philadelphia.There will be no public visitation observed and a service celebrating Jerry’s life will be held Friday, December 23, 2005 at 10 a.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover with Rev. Joel Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg with the Dover V.F.W. Post #3463 performing military honors. Following the services, a memorial luncheon will be held in the Hospitality Room at the Geib Funeral Center in Dover.
