Jerome Lee Seibold

Jerome Lee Seibold, 80, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Union Hospital at Dover.Born July 4, 1928 at New Philadelphia, Ohio, Jerome was one of three children born to the late Raymond and Carrie (Wassem) Seibold.Jerome graduated from Dover High School in 1947 and then continued his education at Ohio Northern University’s School of Pharmacy. Then, on August 17, 1950, He enlisted with the United States Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. Jerome received an honorable discharge on June 16, 1954.He worked as a Pharmacist in various places around Ohio and once owned his own pharmacy at Geneva on the Lake. He enjoyed sailing on Atwood Lake and also at Lake Erie and visiting the San Francisco Bay area.Jerome attended Sacred Heart Church at New Philadelphia and was a member of the New Philadelphia V.F.W.He is survived by a sister, Jane (Robert) Ballard of New Philadelphia; six nieces, Barbara (Don) Sherrets, Carol Appleby and Cheri (Ike) Eckert all of New Philadelphia, Carol Comanita of Pickerington, Ohio, Chris (Bobby) Steimetz of Chandler, Arizona and Jonni (Scott) Holdsworth of Germantown, Tennessee; and several great nieces and great nephews.Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Doris Comanita.In keeping with Jerome’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
