Jennifer L. Sickels

Jennifer Lee “Jenny” Sickels, a loving and devoted wife, mother, Mimi, sister, daughter, aunt and friend, passed away on March 17, 2024 following injuries sustained from an automobile accident.

Born December 21, 1977 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of James “Jim” R. and Judy A. (Chidester) Rugg of New Philadelphia. After graduating from Indian Valley High School and the Buckeye Career Center, Jenny married the love of her life, Richard L. “Rick” Sickels on September 14, 1996. Together, they were blessed with the birth of their two children, Brandon and Kaylee.

Professionally, Jenny served as a manager with Family Dollar and previously, Ollie’s. For enjoyment, Jenny loved to be with her family. She enjoyed vacationing in cabins, watching her son race, playing with her dogs, talking with her daughter, or soaking in the time with her grandchildren.

Jenny will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family including her husband, Rick; her children, Brandon (Camie) Sickels of Tuscarawas and Kaylee (Tyler) Ayers of Georgia; her parents, Jim and Judy Rugg; her grandchildren, Tyler, Jr., Aubreigh, and Wyatt Ayers; her siblings, Kim (Randy) Smart of Dover and Stacy Rugg of Virginia; her parents-in-law, Richard Sickels, Sr. of Dennison and Deb Sickels of Dover; her brother-in-law, Chad Sickels of New Philadelphia; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

A private visitation will be held for her family. Cremation care has been entrusted through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.
