Jennifer A. Saunders, 53, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Truman House, Community Hospice, in New Philadelphia, following an extended illness.
Born in Dayton on November 13, 1964, she was the daughter of Richard E. and Caryl A. Hoeflinger Rose of Dayton and a graduate of Centerville High School. Jennifer was a homemaker and loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She was passionate about rescuing and fostering pets for the Tuscarawas County Humane Society and being a “Band Mother” while her daughters were in the New Philadelphia High School Marching Quaker Band.
In addition to her parents, Jennifer is survived by her husband, David F. Saunders, whom she married November 3, 1984; daughters, Emily E. Saunders of Marshfield, Wisconsin and Nicole K. Saunders of Grove City, Ohio; a granddaughter, Piper Hayes of Grove City, Ohio; and a brother, Brad Rose of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
In keeping with Jennifer’s wishes, her body is to be cremated through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory and the family will receive friends for a “time of remembering” on Thursday, November 15, 2018, from 5 to 7 PM in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Jennifer’s memory to either, the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Road NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663, or Community Hospice Truman House, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
