Jennie M. Stewart, 83, of New Philadelphia died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at Country Club Retirement Center in Dover where she had resided since June2003.Born April 3, 1921, in New Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Ira B. and Mary Miller Wolfe, Jennie was a 1939 graduate of New Philadelphia High. She had worked with her father and brother, Richard C., at the former Wolfe’sPhoto Service in New Philadelphia. Jennie was a lifetime member of First United Church of Christ in New Philadelphia where she had been a Sunday school teacher. She also had been a Girl Scout leader and a member of several card clubs.On June 25, 1944, she married M. Lee Stewart, who died April 19, 1975.Surviving are her daughters, Sandra Stewart of New Philadelphia and Shirley Stewart of Lorain; her brother, Richard C. (June) Wolfe of Dover; and her niece, Barbara White of New Philadelphia.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Donald Hauenstein, and her sister-in-law, Vivian Stewart.Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia with Rev. Jeffrey Gerber officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Family visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 2.
