Jennie Dunn, 72, of Dover passed away in the care of the Community Hospice House on September 23, 2016.
Born on November 2, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Evan Dean “Red” and Mildred Marcella (Kaufman) Lewis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Dunn.
Jennie was a 1961 graduate of St. Joseph High School. She greatly enjoyed participating in the “Wednesday Rippers” quilting club where she enjoyed the company of dear friends. Jennie also loved to bake, sew and craft. Her faith was nurtured at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover where she participated.
Above all, Jennie was a genuine and loving mother to her three sons; a passionate grandmother; and a devoted and caring wife and friend to her late husband, Lee Dunn, who preceded her in passing in 1980.
She will be deeply missed by her family including her children, Kevin (Cathy) Dunn, Kyle (Jade) Dunn, and Curt Dunn, all of Dover; her grandchildren, Shelby, Dylan, Olivia, Lainey, and Annie; her great-grandchild, Tristen; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Paula Lewis; Larry Soulsby and numerous other close friends and extended family.
In keeping with Jennie’s wishes, cremation care will take place through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover on September 29, 2016 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friends are invited to greet with Jennie’s family and share in a meal, immediately after Mass in the Family Life Center, located directly across the street from the church.
The past three weeks, Jennie and her family were cared for by Community Hospice. In deep gratitude for their exceptional care and love to each of them, Jennie’s family requests memorial contributions be directed to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
