Jeanne Marie Hopkins

Jeanne Marie Hopkins, 82, of Uhrichsville, died October 6, 2006 at Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation Center due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease.She was born on January 19, 1924 in Akron, Ohio to the late Frank and Madeline Simmons. As a graduate of Central High School in Akron, Ohio, Jeanne went on to complete a business school degree. Jeanne retired from General Motors in Hudson, Ohio after many years as a purchasing agent. She was a member of the St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Ellet, Ohio.Jeanne is survived by her son, Thomas (JoAnn Brown) Hopkins of Gnadenhutten, Ohio her daughter, Deborah (Raleigh) Ratliff of Covington, Kentucky, granddaughter, Danielle Drake of Cincinnati, Ohio, and longtime companion Homer Sell of Canton, Ohio.She was preceded in death by her brother, James Simmons.A Graveside Service will be held, Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at 11:00 am at the Glendale Cemetery, 150 Glendale Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44302.Memorial contributions may be made in Jeanne’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
