Jeanne Destefani

Jeanne Destefani, age 71, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, April 24, 2025, while in the care of Ohio’s Hospice Truman House at New Philadelphia.

Born in Dover, Ohio on July 25, 1953, Jeanne was a daughter of the late Frank E. and Martha L. Destefani.

Jeanne was a 1971 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and spent many years as a telephone operator for the former General Telephone Company, and later worked as an associate for Verizon.

Jeanne was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and being around friends and family.

Surviving is her sister, Diane Destefani and numerous cousins.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Destefani, Jr.

The family will greet guests from 11:30 – 1:00 PM in Sacred Heart Church on Monday, April 28, 2025, where Fr. Jeff Coning will lead a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
