Jeanette “Doll” Stucky, 94, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, June 03, 2008 in Country Club Retirement Campus at Dover.A daughter of the late John and Julia Ann (Kreston) Morrison, Jeanette was born March 28, 1914 at Sherrodsville, Ohio.Jeanette graduated from New Philadelphia High School. She retired from the former General Telephone Company where she served as the Chief Operator for 40 years.She was a member of the First Baptist Church at New Philadelphia. Jeanette was also a member of the Dover-Phila Professional Women’s Club, national and county chapters of AARP and General Telephone’s ITPA Pioneer Club. She also had a passion for traveling.She is survived by two nieces, Jo Ann (Wells “Duesy”) Duesenberry of Dover and Carol (Harry “Toby”) Negri of New Philadelphia; two nephews, Robert (Julia) Morrison of Cape Coral, Florida and Steven (Erma) Morrison of New Philadelphia; a step daughter, Leah Koutsourais of Campbell, Ohio; three step sons, James Stucky of Youngstown, Ohio and Donald Stucky Jr. and John Stucky both Campbell, Ohio; and several great nieces and great nephews.Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harry J. March; her second husband, Donald W. Stucky; a sister, Mary Morrison and two brothers, Alexander and Robert Morrison.Family and friends may call on Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Lin-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Jeanette’s life will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Pastor Joe Schulz officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Following the committal service, a memorial reception will be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia.Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and view an online memorial by visiting the funeral home website.
