Jeanette Lucille Tarulli

Jeanette Lucille Tarulli, age 90, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully early Saturday morning, June 22, 2013, in Country Club Retirement Center at Dover.

Born August 27, 1922, at Dover, she was a daughter of the late Giustino and Anunziata Norcia Cicconetti.

A 1941 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, and a homemaker for most of her life, Jeanette was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

On February 4, 1942, Jeanette married Gene J. Tarulli and went on to celebrate seventy years of marriage prior to his death March 14, 2012.

She’ll be remembered for her talent in the kitchen as Jeanette regularly read cookbooks and prepared meals for her family. Additionally, she enjoyed crocheting and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Nancy (Greg) Rees of New Philadelphia, Richard L. (Nancy) Tarulli of Boston, Massachusetts, and John Tarulli of New Philadelphia.

She’ll be sadly missed by five grandchildren; Scott, Jason, Marc (Lisa) and Geoff Tarulli, and Stephanie Cable and three great-grandchildren; Caylie and Cara Cable and Zaryn Tarulli as well as a sister, Lillian Stone of Ravenna, Ohio, a brother Art Cicconetti of New Philadelphia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanette was preceded in death by an infant son, Terry Michael Tarulli, sisters Anna Donato, Mary Garry, Elaine Cicconetti, Lucy Cicconetti, and a brother Jerome Cicconetti, and two infant siblings.

Friends are invited to call Wednesday, June 26, from 4-7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where a Christian Wake Service will commence at 6:45.

Father Jeff Coning will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial Thursday morning at 10 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia before Jeanette is laid to rest alongside her husband Gene in Sacred Heart Calvary Cemetery.

Following the committal service family and friends will gather for a luncheon in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home.
