Jean (Naylor) Miles, 74, of Gnadenhutten passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 in the care of Community Hospice at New Philadelphia.
A daughter of the late Cecil and Hazel (Rank) Naylor, Jean was born October 25, 1942 at Dennison, Ohio.
Jean graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School in 1962. She went on to work as a nursing assistant for many years and found it very rewarding. Jean often told others that her biggest accomplishments in life were her children. She was very proud of them and the things they had achieved in life.
Jean was a member of the Moravian Church in Gnadenhutten, Ohio and enjoyed being surrounded by her family, going on rides in the country, making crafts and baking her special cookies at Christmas time for her family.
She is survived by her companion of 24 years, Francis Finley; her two children, Keith (Nancy) Long and Lisa (Doug) Gill; three grandsons, Ryan and Zachary Long, and Mitchell Gill; a sister, Shirley (Dave) Gruber; two nieces, four great-nieces, one great-nephew, and two great-great-nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A service celebrating her life will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Gnadenhutten Clay Union Cemetery.
