Jean Evelyn (Monigold) Mossor, age 72 of Midvale, went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, June 12, 2005, while surrounded by her loving family.Born at Steubenville, Ohio, April 14, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Atkinson and Evelyn Bessie Rawson Monigold. She graduated from the former Jefferson Union High School and married her former classmate and longtime sweetheart, Herman Ray Mossor on June 23, 1951. Together for more than fifty-three years, Jean and Herman reared two daughters; Linda Mossor and Penny (Brad) Ross all of Midvale, three grandchildren; Michael (companion Kim Buckhor) Wardell, Christa Hershberger, and Frank Hershberger.She’ll be sadly missed by four brothers; Donald (Mary Ellen) Monigold, David (Jo-Ann) Monigold, Richard (Cathy) Monigold and Thomas (Sandy) Monigold all of Steubenville, two sisters; Betty (Fred) Thompson and Nancy (John) Vittek of Steubenville, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends including two long time friends; Katie Blankenship and Mary Grove. Jean had a heart of gold and was always ready to help anyone in need. She had a smile for everyone and was famous for her homemade raisin filled cookies. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all her friends, family and acquaintances. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, 2005 from 4 Â? 7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Bill Johnson will lead a funeral ceremony celebrating Jean’s life Wednesday morning at 10AM in the funeral home’s chapel, where friends can call one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery in Warren Township.
