Jean Anne Owens

Jean Anne Owens, passed away after a long bout with cancer, in Amberwood Manor at New Philadelphia on November 2, 2015.

Born in Conneaut, Ohio on November 7, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Doris (Bender) Owens.

After completing her formal education, Jean was employed at Buckeye Career Center for nearly two decades as a guidance counselor.

Jean will be deeply missed by her daughter, Jenny Owens (Sean) Kast of Phoenix, Arizona; her niece, Tonya (Scott) Burke of Ashtabula, O.; her brothers, Dave (Carol) Owens of Conneaut, O., and Tom (Alice) Owens of Cincinnati; and her sister-in-law, Laura Bender of Erie, Pennsylvania.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Kreiling.

A memorial gathering will be held in the Geib Family Center in New Philadelphia anytime between 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 7. In keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation will be cared for through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.
