Janet Marie Wilson

Janet Marie Wilson, 76, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, April 09, 2012 in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Glenn Everett Lee and the late Ruby Elizabeth (Burkey) Lee Robinson, Janet was born December 6, 1935 at Carrollton, Ohio.

Janet graduated from New Philadelphia High in 1953. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed following the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers.

She is survived by two daughters, Jeannine (Charles) Gentry of New Philadelphia and Julia (Richard) Deibel of Strasburg; a son, Ronald Wilson of Dennison; her grandchildren, Samantha (Jason) Reed of Bolivar, Jodie Deibel of Strasburg and Daniel Wilson of New Philadelphia and two great grandchildren, Gavin Michael Reed and Dylan Daniel Reed both of Bolivar.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel E. Wilson; a son, Daniel E. Wilson Jr. her brother, Jerry Noakes and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl “Spike” and Edna Ruth Wilson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Janet’s life will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Following the committal service, a luncheon will be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia.
