Janet Adams

Janet (Spragg) Adams, 68, of Massillon, was lifted to Heaven to join her daughter, Jennifer, at the feet of Jesus on Monday, April 11, 2016.

Janet was born February 29, 1948 in Adena, Ohio to Marion and Marjory Spragg. She spent over 40 years caring for others as a registered nurse. The majority of those years were spent at Empire Detroit Steel in Dover and then Canton Drop Forge where she retired in 2014.

She was very active in her church, Faith Community Fellowship, and she enjoyed singing in the choir. Janet was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Her most treasured time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her parents; her husband, Kelly Adams; two children, Jolene (Dennis) Bloomquist and Chad Adams; her grandchildren, Camden, Hannah and Connor Bloomquist; a sister, Sheryl Thompson; her mother-in-law, Wilma Adams; 10 nieces and nephews and 24 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A funeral service celebrating Janet’s life will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Kager officiating. In keeping with Janet’s wishes, cremation will follow the services.
