Jane E Hunter

Jane E. Hunter, 74, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Tuesday, October 8, 2002.Born in Coshocton O. September 22, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Ethel Rodock Shepard. On November 9, 1951, she married Lewis C. Hunter, who preceded her in death on February 8, 1984. Mrs. Hunter was a homemaker who enjoyed maintaining beautiful flower gardens, attending yard sales, dancing and traveling across the United States with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Sheila J. (Melvin) Underwood of Orrville, O; Linda S. Cihon of Sherrodsville, two sons, Lewis C. (Janet) Hunter of Barnhill; William S. (Yvonne) Hunter of Dennison, three granddaughters, Kimberly (William) Hayes, Erin Hunter and Shelby Cihon; six grandsons, Chris, Stacy & Matthew Hunter, Jeff Everhart, Michael (Tara) Everhart, five great-grandchildren, two sisters; Marie Randles & Irene Shepard.In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Hunter; brother Lester Sheppard and sister Lucinda Almack. A Celebration of Jane’s Life will be held Saturday, October 12, 2002, at 7:30 PM in the Geib Family Center. The family will host a gathering from 6PM until the beginning of the service. Cremation will be conducted locally through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. In gratitude for their exemplary service, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622.
