Jane A Rimer

Jane A. Rimer, age 90, of Dover, passed away Monday evening, October 31, 2011 in Country Club Retirement Campus following a period of declining health.Born in Uhrichsville on July 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Wallace and Helen (Miller) Cummings. Jane graduated in 1939 from Uhrichsville High School where she was a cheerleader. She married her lifelong companion, the late Robert J. Rimer and together, they reared four sons. Family and friends were the foundation of her life. She enjoyed spending time with them and cooking. In the recent past, she also loved participating in the Red Hat Society at Country Club Retirement Campus where she was a resident since 2004. There, she received wonderful care from the staff and doctors.Jane will be missed by her children including Robert A. (Susann) Rimer of New Philadelphia, Richard E. (Virginia) Rimer of Dennison, David P. (Bobbie) Rimer and William A. (Catherine) Rimer, both of New Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two brothers William and Richard Cummings and her daughter-in-law, Diann Rimer.A service celebrating Jane’s life will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Thursday, November 3 beginning at 10:30 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediate follow the service in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.In gratitude for their exemplary care, Jane’s family requests memorial contributions be directed to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. 3rd St., Dover, O. 44622.
