Jamie Allen Beatty, age 27, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at his residence.

Born in Union Hospital at Dover on December 6, 1992, Jamie is a son of Dale Beatty of New Philadelphia and Candy Scott Knotts of Dennison.

Jamie was a 2011 graduate of Indian Valley High School. He was an avid hunter who liked to follow stock car racing, riding dirt bikes, and tormenting his siblings. He also enjoyed kayaking with his mom, listening to music, having fun and had the ability to make anyone laugh.

While Jamie hadn’t quite found his professional path in life, he was a talented woodworker and carpenter. He also enjoyed working on cars and anything mechanical.

In addition to his parents, Jamie is survived by a son, Teegan Allen Brown, his siblings, Talsa Leslie of Tuscarawas, Celcie Staley of Newcomerstown, Michael Jones of Dennison, and Chase Beatty of Carrollton; six nieces, Triska, Payton, Haley, Zoey, Raelynn and Lillianna; his maternal grandmother, Bonnie Lipps and his paternal grandfather, James Beatty both of New Philadelphia. Completing the family are numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

Jamie was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Scott and his paternal grandmother, Loma Beatty.

A celebration of Jamie’s life will take place on Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 4-6 PM in the Roswell Community Center. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling cremation care.
