James W. Causby

James W. Causby of New Philadelphia died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 22, 2015 in his residence.

A son of the late Lemmie “Jack” Causby, Sr. and Alma May (Reser) Causby, Jim was born at Hopedale, Ohio on December 24, 1930.

Following his graduation from Hopedale High School in 1948, Jim entered the United States Air Force and on May 7, 1953 married the former Ardith Chipukaizer. Together the couple shared in 61 years of marriage prior to her passing on March 10, 2015.

Jim retired from Gradall following 30 plus years of service, where he held numerous positions throughout his tenure.

He is survived by his children, Lee Ann Taylor of Dover, Carl Causby of Bowerston, Barb (Troy) Kirsch of Sherrodsville, and Jennifer (Brian) Ledsome of Gnadenhutten; and eight grandchildren, Brett (Andrea Sulhan) Taylor of Brunswick, Jamie Taylor of Cuyahoga Falls, Sarah (Brent) Copeland of Bowerston, Mary (Nick) Daley of New Philadelphia, Carla (Matt) Taylor of Hurricane, WV, Travis (Amber Ruggeri) Horner of Sherrodsville, Stacy Joseph of St. Marys, OH, and Ray Ledsome of Gnadenhutten.

Completing the family are seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Haylee, Logan, Alveya, Charlee, Aubree, and Austin; an expectant great-granddaughter; and a special sister, Doris Rensi of Bloomingdale, OH.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation will take place through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
