James T. Nealey, 68, of Midvale, passed away September 18, 2020, in Aultman Hospital.
Born March 13, 1952 in Coshocton, Snake was the son of the late Wilbur and Carol (Stubbs) Nealey.
After graduating from New Philadelphia High School, he began his professional career. He was an employee of Puritan Laundry and Friendly Metals.
At Puritan Laundry he met his future wife, the former Betty Eichel. They were married April 13, 1984 and enjoyed camping and fishing at Twin Hills Park together. He also loved to put together puzzles in his free time.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Chuck (Lori) Woods, Tom (Bev) Woods, Betty (Bill) Wardell, Deb (Mark) Meadows, and Gloria (Kenny) Woods; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda (Kenny) Mann of Roswell.
In addition to his parents, Snake was preceded in passing by his son, Johnny L. Woods, Sr. in 2014; and his two brothers and sister.
In keeping with Snake’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation care has been conducted by Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to the St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
