James R. Martinelli, 68, of Mineral City, died Sunday morning, September 18, 2005 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.Born October 24, 1936 in Roswell, Ohio, he was the son of the late Angelo D. and Ada Walker Martinelli.After graduating from St. Joseph High School, he served his country honorably in the United States Army. After his military service, Mr. Martinelli was the former president and owner of Martinelli Construction and Martinelli Pools and Spas. He also attended both Sacred Heart Church and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.Mr. Martinelli is survived by his wife, the former Catherine M. Butler; his children, Annette (John) Krebs of Pataskala, Oh, Monica Martinelli of Zanesville, and Jim (Carolyn) Martinelli of Glenview, Illinois; step-children, Cathy Clouse / Manin and Debra (Jerry) McNealy, both of Dennison, Annette (Calvin) Currence of Tippecanoe, Carla (Kyra) Fondriest of Cape Coral, Florida, and Michael (Linda) Clouse of Uhrichsville; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene (Martha), John (Jill) and Mike (Debbie) Martinelli, all of New Philadelphia; and one sister, Pat (Dave) Finley of New Philadelphia.A public graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia. The family requests memorial contributions in Mr. Martinelli’s memory be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
