James “Jimmy” Patrick Collins, 43, of New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly Friday July 16, 2004 at his mother’s residence.Jimmy was born April 24, 1961 in Dearborn, MI. to James B. and Glenna Collins. He was a natural born salesman and had worked for various companies. He enjoyed camping, held a blue belt in the art of Tae Kwon Do, and was always ready to help those in need.In addition to his loving mother, Glenna Collins, Jimmy is survived by wife, Chri (Curran) Collins; daughter, Briana L. Collins, son, James P. Collins, and granddaughter, Destiny C. Collins, all of Tampa, Fl.; sisters, Kathleen Kail and her fiancé Bill Hug of Dellroy, Karen (Chuck) Macomber of New Philadelphia, Sandra (Dave) Espenchied of Dover, Candice Heilman and fiancé Dave Dallas of Dover; brother, Michael Collins of New Philadelphia; nephews, Andy, Robbie, Chuck and Brock, nieces Ashley, Tiffany, Emily, Haley, Miranda, Michele; great niece, Anna; uncle, Dave (Pat) Metzger; best friends, Jean Warner, George (Robin) Johnson, Rob Kail; numerous cousins, great aunts and uncles and many friends.In addition to his father, James B. Collins, he was preceded in death by; sister, Kimberly M. Collins; maternal grandparents, Edwin & Raney Metzger; paternal grandparents, Peter & Elda Collins; and a niece, Stacy Kail.Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 2004, 1 PM, at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tim Hatfield officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 6 to 9 PM and Friday from noon till 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park and a reception will follow at the Geib family Center.
