James McAdams

James David McAdams, Jr., 89, of Dover and formerly of New Cumberland, passed away in the Community Hospice Truman House on August 12, 2018.

Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on April 6, 1929, he was the son of the late James D. and Goldie (Johns) McAdams, Sr.

On November 17, 1951, he married the late Melda Lane (Zimmerman) McAdams. He retired from East Sparta Ceramic Tile in East Sparta.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Dale) Baker of Dover; his grandchildren, Jenn (Scott) Sugalski and Mandy (Bill) Conner, Amy Durbin, Terry McAdams, Jr., Timothy McAdams and James Melott; great-grandchildren, Cash and Sofia Conner; numerous out-of-state great-grandchildren; and his companion, Mary Sears.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Lee McAdams; and 15 siblings.

No visitation or services are scheduled. Private inurnment will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Old Zoarville at a later date.
