JAMES M. WILBUR, 68, OF DENNISON, DIED SUDDENLY, MAY 31, 2004, IN GRAFTON, WV, WHILE TRAVELING WITH HIS WIFE.JIM WAS BORN DECEMBER 19, 1935, AT MCARTHUR, OHIO TO THE LATE THOMAS HENRY, SR. AND N. BESSIE (DAYTON) WILBUR. HE WAS PROUD OF HIS INDIAN HERITAGE, BEING 1/12TH CHERROKEE INDIAN AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE APPALACHIAN AMERICAN INDIANS OF WEST VIRGINIA. HE ALSO WAS A CHRISTIAN AND A PRACTICING EVANGELIST.IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY THREE BROTHERS, F. ALVIN GREGORY, THOMAS H. WILBUR, JR., AND WILLIAM C. WILBUR.JIM IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, PATRICIA A. COOK-WILBUR; WHOM HE MARRIED DECEMBER 9, 1995. DAUGHTER, ROBIN NICHOLS, OF FL., SONS, JAMES (TRISH) WILBUR, OF KNOXVILLE, TN., AND GEORGE (LORETTA) WILBUR, OF DOVER, STEP-DAUGHTER, CARRIE (JAMES) APPLEGATE, OF DENNISON, SISTERS, JUDY (CHET) SHEPLER, OF BREWSTER, BOBIE PASCO, OF WOOSTER, A. FAYE HUTT, OF NAVARRE, EVA (LARRY) GOPP, OF APPLECREEK, AND SEVERAL GRANDCHILDREN.FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, JUNE 5, 2004, IN THE CHAPEL AT THE LINN-HERT-GEIB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY OF NEW PHILADELPHIA WHERE FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO VISIT FROM 5:00PM TO 7:00PM. EVANGELIST HERMAN TRAUNTER WILL OFFICIATE AND CREMATION WILL FOLLOW THE SERVICE. THE FAMILY SUGGESTS THAT DONATIONS IN JIM’S MEMORY BE MADE TO A CHURCH OF THE DONORS CHOICE.
