James F. Marinelli, 85, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday November 13, 2005 at Union Hospital in Dover.A son of the late James and Virginia Mendini Marinelli, he was born July 29, 1920 in New Phila. After serving in the U.S. Army during WW II in the European theatre he returned and work for Marlite and then as a school bus driver for the New Philadelphia City Schools. Jim was an avid dancer and especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his friends.He is survived by two sons, John A (Bonnie) Marinelli of Fl and Edward (Wendy) Marinelli of New Phila; one daughter Candi (Jesse) James of Bolivar; two granddaughters, Jennifer James of Bolivar and Nicole Marinelli of New Phila; two grandsons, Joshua James of Virginia and Rome Marinelli of New Phila; two brothers, Bob (Erma) Marinelli and Don Marinelli both of New Phila and one sister. Zola (Bob) Miller of New Phila.In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Louie Marinelli.Visitation will be Wednesday Nov. 16, 2005 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with a Christian Wake Service at 6:45p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, November 16, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with the Msgr. George J. Schlegel officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia.A reception will be held at the Geib Family Center following the committal.
