Born at Toledo, Ohio on October 25, 1936 Jim was a son of the late Raymond Kromenacker and Grace Kromenacker-Anello. He was a 1955 graduate of Toledo Central Catholic High School and soon after entered into the United States Marine Corps, having been stationed at Quantico, Virginia during his service.

Jim Returned to the Toledo area and for a number of years worked for the American Lincoln Company at Bowling Green where he was involved with computer operations at the firm.

In 1986, Jim relocated to the Tuscarawas Valley and took up the occupation as a bartender, a profession that fit his personality perfectly. Over the years, he used his mild mannered temperament to befriend, socialize and ultimately B.S. with many customers who sat around his bar. Having started at the former Bonvechio’s Restaurant, Jim later moved on to the Former Inn on the River and Water’s Edge Restaurants. For the past 15 plus years, Jim has been a familiar face behind the bar of the Pro’s Table’s 19th Hole Lounge at New Philadelphia where he provided excellent service and conversation to all who joined him.

Jim had numerous passions in life that included being a car enthusiast, vacationing with friends in Mexico where he enjoyed deep sea fishing as well as vacationing with his children in Myrtle Beach, Hawaii and Canada. He shared a love-hate relationship with his English Bulldog, Penny. However, many knew Jim as a sports enthusiast who enjoyed capitalizing on the odds and outcome of each game.

He leaves behind his loving companion of 25 years, Sandra “Joey” Hanchette of Dover; a son, Tim (Cindy) Kromenacker; a daughter, Tami (companion, Mike Bridge) Kromenacker all of Toledo; Rich (Tracey) Hanchette of Broadview Heights, whom he considered a son; five grandchildren, Bryan (Liz), Kevin, and Scott Kromenacker, Ryan and Dillon Patterson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
