James C. Stiger

James C. Stiger, 75, of East Canton, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in Affinity Medical Center at Massillon, Ohio following a battle with cancer.

A son of the late Jesse and Lillian (Lawson) Stiger, Jim was born October 6, 1936 at Bucyrus, Ohio.

Jim graduated from Nevada High School in 1954. He worked many years in the precast industry and following his retirement he worked as an officer for United American Security.
Jim was recently inducted into Wyandot County & Wynford Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Nevada Lodge 343, past master, and district deputy.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia (Pollock) Stiger of the home, his children, Mike (Sherri) Stiger of Sycamore, Ohio and Cathy Scheffler and Diane Cundiff both of Bucyrus; two step-sons, Colin Trout of Beach City, Ohio and Jeff (Rachelle) Trout of Hampstead, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Jean Ann Moll of Florida and three brothers, Charles Stiger of Oceola, Ohio, Tom Stiger and David Stiger both of Florida.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation will take place through the cares of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2012 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
