James A. Blackwell

James A. Blackwell, Sr., 63, of New Philadelphia, died Friday, November 19, 2004 in Union Hospital at Dover.A son of the late Rester E. and Irene C. (Griffin) Blackwell, James was born on August 24, 1941.He is survived by one son, James A. Blackwell, Jr. of New Philadelphia; one granddaughter, Savannah L. Blackwell of New Philadelphia; four sisters, Loretta Studer of New Philadelphia, Martha McCoun of Stone Creek, Maxine Bridges of Canyon, Texas and Roberta Smith of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; two brothers, Robert L. Blackwell of New Philadelphia and William R. Blackwell of Dover; and many nieces and nephews.James was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Emma Jean Blackwell; and two brothers, Edwin L. Blackwell and Clifton H. Blackwell.A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2004 at 4:00pm in the chapel of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with Rev. Byron Stewart officiating. Friends may call on Monday, November 29, 2004 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at the funeral home.
