Jacqueline E. “Jackie” Ridgway, 90, of Strasburg, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a three-month illness.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Antonina Zuffante Bler and a 1945 graduate of Oliver High School in Pittsburgh. Jackie had retired in 1989 from Timken Roller Bearings in Canton after 30 years of employment and loved gardening, playing cards, computers and her cats.
Surviving are her husband, William A. Ridgway, whom she married October 1, 1982; two daughters, Jacklyn Anderson of Clearwater, Florida and Shelley (Tom) Rex of Canton; a son Mitchell J. (Desiree) Barton of Richfield; a daughter-in-law, Patty Barton of Canton; two step-daughters, Victoria Ridgway and LeAnne Henry both of Strasburg; four granddaughters Chawn Kagan, Brooke Crocker, Natalie Rex and Riley Barton; a grandson, Reid Barton; a step grandson, Parker MacDonald; a great granddaughter, Kylie Kagan and two great grandsons, Evan Rex and Vinnie Montero. A son, James W. Barton Jr.; a son-in-law, Tom Anderson; three sisters and a brother also proceed her in death.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover and a private family graveside service will be held at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in Canton.
