Jacqueline J. Morgan, age 78, of Tuscarawas died peacefully in her sleep, Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Born at Dennison, October 20, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ethel Collins Hines. Best known as “Granny” to her friends and family, she attended Dennison High School before marrying Paul A. Morgan April 19, 1947 at Greenup, Kentucky. Together they owned and operated the former Morgan’s Service Station at Tuscarawas for many years. Jackie enjoyed vacationing with her family, playing cards and bingo with her friends and spending time with her grandchildren. She’ll be remembered for her sense of humor, and is described as “being 78 going on 25” by her loved ones. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan celebrated fifty-two years of marriage together prior to his death July 12, 1999. Together they reared a family that includes daughters Melody (John) McKean and Paula (Rick) Spaar, all of Tuscarawas, Karen (Jay) Gibbs of Midvale, and a son, Russell (fiancee Anna Wissman) Morgan of Tuscarawas. She’ll be sadly missed by her grandchildren, John II (companion Nancy Crow) McKean, Eric (Megan) McKean, Brandi Gray, Mike Morgan, Hope (companion Blane Walker) Morgan, Tina Morgan, Stephanie (companion Tommy Leidner) Spaar, and Stacy Spaar, Fourteen great grandchildren; John McKean III, Sean McKean, Eric McKean II, Carson McKean, Kiley McKean, Morgan Gambs, Christopher Gray, Sydney Gray, Madison Gray, Donnie Parks, Jade Parks, Skyler Canon, Russell Parks, and Precious Parks.A sister-in-law, Grace Otto of Tuscarawas, a half-brother, Johnny Hines of Port Washington, and an Aunt, Evelyn “Pickle” Hunter of Dennison, also survive.In accordance with her instructions, there are no public calling hours or services. Cremation is planned and inurnment, together with the urn of her husband, will follow in Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery.
