Irma Zeigler, age 65, of New Philadelphia moved on early Tuesday evening September 22, 2009, as she completed her courageous journey with cancer and was welcomed home into the arms of her Lord and Savior.A daughter of the late Cecil and Beatrice (Tomblin) Prall, Irma was born at Roswell on September 3, 1944 and attended Midvale schools.For more than thirty years Irma was an active member of the Dover Baptist Temple where she would enjoy the fellowship of those she came along side as a member of the church choir and the Ladies Fellowship. Irma dedicated her life to serving others as she spent countless hours as a volunteer for the Dover Head Start Program and Goodwill of Tuscarawas County. As a devoted mother and grandmother Irma enjoyed spending time with her family which includes two sons, Mitchell (Joni) Zeigler of Columbia City, Indiana and Joseph Zeigler of Dover; two daughters, Leslie (Rodney) Hoover of New Philadelphia and Sheri (Larry) Lawrence of Dover; and a brother Raymond (Joyce) Prall of New Philadelphia. Thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a number of close friends complete the family.In addition to her parents, Irma was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.The family will receive friends in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 5:00 � 7:00 PM. The Reverend Christopher Rhodes will lead a celebration of Irma’s life in the Dover Baptist Temple on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 10:30 AM.Burial will follow in the Roxford Church Cemetery.
