Irene V. Preston

Irene V. Preston, 80, of Dennison, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Oak Point Nursing Home at Baltic following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late John R. and Charlotte M. (Jones) Stull, Irene was born August 4, 1936.

Irene married the late Charles E. Preston, who preceded her in passing on January 28, 2013.

She was a member of New Life Church at Dover. Irene also loved to play the piano, sew, and garden.

She is survived by her three children, Jan (Tim) Hershberger of Walnut Creek, Bret Preston of New Philadelphia and Darrin Preston of Uhrichsville; her grandchildren, Jessica (Ted) Dryden, Jerrod and Joe Howard, Jemma Howard, Julia Howard and Ethan, Adam and Arrin Preston; her great grandchildren, Madison, Jaedin, Jerrod, Maiah, Asher, Caitlyn, and Zayden; and her siblings, June Pool and Jack (Judy) Stull.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents and husband; her great grandson, Kiean Smith; and her infant sister, Patty Stull.

A family graveside service will be held in Ridgecrest Memory Garden at Dover at a later date.
