She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ at Baltic, was active in the Ila Burkey Missionary Women’s Guild within the church, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Baltic. At home, she enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, and in the twilight of her life enjoyed her stuffed animal collection. Brenly of Baltic, and James E. and wife Jennifer Brenly of Dayton, Ohio, two grandsons, Jon Brenly of Columbus, Ohio, and Jason Brenly of Dayton, Ohio. A sister, Waneta Huff, of New Philadelphia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins complete the family. In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Robert E. Brenly, in March, 2003, and three brothers, Willard, Ivan and Olin Nealey. Friends are invited to call Tuesday (TODAY) afternoon from 4PM-7PM in the Zion United Church of Christ at Baltic.
