Irene B. Redman

Irene B. Redman, 83, of Hennis Care & Retirement Centre at Dover, died Monday, December 3, 2007.A daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie (Zsoka) Spisak, Irene was born September 6, 1924 at Cleveland, Ohio.Irene was a member of the First Hungarian Reformed Church at Walton Hills, Ohio where she was active with the Lorrantfy Society and the Noodle Makers. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Windermere #388 and the Solon V.F.W. Post #1863 Women’s Auxiliary. Irene cherished the friendships she formed with the residents and staff at Hennis Care & Retirement Centre at Dover.She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Hajek and her husband Jim of Avon, Ohio and Cynthia Smith and her husband Tom of New Philadelphia, Ohio; three grandchildren, Brent (Erin) Hajek of Baltimore, Maryland, Tom Smith Jr. of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Rachel Smith of New Philadelphia, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Dale (Laura) Redman and Jerry (Mary Lou) Redman both of New Philadelphia, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.Irene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Raymond E. Redman, whom she married on March 2, 1946. Raymond passed away on October 27, 1991.The family will receive guests on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia, Ohio with an Order of Eastern Star service commencing at 3:45 p.m. Irene’s family will receive guests again on Thursday, December 6, 2007 from 10 to 11 a.m. in Johnson-Romita Funeral Home at Twinsburg, Ohio, with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor Gene Schneirer.
