Ingeborg Anita Ruth Hamilton, 99, of Gnadenhutten, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in her home following a period of declining health.
Born June 12, 1916 in Dresden, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Christina (Frank) Griesel.
While her future husband was an active serviceman in Germany, she met Michael, her lifelong companion and husband, and married on August 6, 1966. Together, they enjoyed traveling and caring for their dogs. She was an active member of the former Kennel Club and also the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church.
Her professional career spanned more than 20 years where she served as a corporate secretary for The W.M. Brode Company in Newcomerstown.
Ingeborg’s family includes her brother-in-law, Gregory (Kathy) Hamilton of Gnadenhutten; 5 nieces; 5 great-nieces; and 2 great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ingeborg was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Stephen Hamilton.
A graveside service will be held in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10 a.m.
