Ida J. Rowley

March 5, 1941 — February 14, 2025

New Philadelphia, Ohio

Ida J. Rowley, 84, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 after a sudden decline in her health. It was fitting that her passing on Valentine’s Day would allow her to join the love of her life, Charles Rowley, in the afterlife she looked forward to since his passing.

Born in Dover, Ida was the daughter of the late Floyd (beloved stepfather) and Helen Elizabeth (Moore) Ford, and Eugene Humrighouse.

For many years Ida lived and worked in California. She held many positions in banking, including her last position as Escrow Officer with Sumitomo Bank. Ida loved shopping, traveling, and crafting. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. Her grandchildren, including two she raised (Jesse and Crystal), were her greatest joy.

She is survived by her children, Cathy Feister of Uhrichsville, Charles (Barbara) Colletti of New Philadelphia, Nikki Colletti of Dover, and Lisa Frey of Uhrichsville; step-son, Frank (Susan) Rowley; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jan Burke; and brothers, Brad Humrighouse, William Humrighouse, and Daniel Humrighouse.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Floyd Ford; husband, Charles Rowley; step-daughter, Carrie Rowley; and son-in-law, Bruce Feister.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and there are no public services to be scheduled. She will be inurned at Rosecrans National Cemetery at San Diego, California, next to her husband, Charles at a later date.
