Ida Lou Carriger

Ida Lou Carriger, 81, of Newcomerstown, died Monday, October 14, 2002 at Union Hospital in Dover following a brief illness.Born in Archer City, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Maggie Rodgers Rose. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hillview Baptist Church in Port Washington. Her husband, Ralph Olden Carriger, preceded her in death in 1986. Surviving are three sons, Sanford G. (Mary) Carriger of Dallas, Texas, Dan A. Carriger and William (Kimberly) Carriger both of Newcomerstown; a brother, Roger Rose of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. A daughter, Ellen Jo Carriger, a granddaughter, a brother and a sister are also deceased.A graveside service will be held Friday, October 18, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover with Pastor Shawn Dunn officiating. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia is in charge of arrangements.
