Howard “Howdy” W. Cline, Jr., 60, of Gnadenhutten, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Union Hospital in Dover.A son of Mary Agnes (Elson) Buechele and the late Howard W. Cline, Sr., Howdy was born July 4, 1945 in Canton, OhioHowdy had a love for country and gospel music and he enjoyed walking and working on cars. But most of all, Howdy loved his family dearly and he cherished the time spent with them.He is survived by his mother, Mary Buechele of Gnadenhutten; three sisters, Carol (Bill) Gerber of Dover, Dorothy (Nelson) Landis of Dundee and Rita (Bill) Foster of New Philadelphia; two brothers, Gary Cline of Las Vegas, Nevada and Ronald (Barb) Cline of Spearfish, South Dakota; two step-brothers, Charles (Wilma) Buechele of Newbury, Ohio and Delbert (Connie) Buechele of Ashland, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Lois Cline of Pennsylvania; one brother-in-law, Jack Ripley of Gnadenhutten; and many nieces and nephews.Howdy was preceded in death by his father; his step-father, Charles Buechele; brother, Robert Cline; sister, Brenda Ripley; step-brother, Ronald Buechele; nephew, Brian Landis; and niece, Melissa Belknap.A service celebrating Howdy’s life will be held on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center in Dover with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Burial will follow at Dover Burial Park in Dover. Family and friends may call on Sunday, November 20, 2005 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center in Dover.Following the services on Monday, a memorial reception will be held in the Hospitality Room at the Geib Funeral Center in Dover.Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622 and/or the Howard W.
