Howard C Schlemmer

Howard C. Schlemmer, Jr., 68, of Stone Creek, passed away in his home following a brief illness on Monday, April 1, 2013.

Born in Dover, he is the son of Iva S. (Ackers) Schlemmer and the late Howard C. Schlemmer, Sr. After graduating from Dover High School, he joined the United States Army where he honorably served his country.

His professional career spanned more than 30 years with Reeves Steel in Dover.

Howard leaves behind his wife of 48 years, the former Viola Louise Lemasters, whom he wed March 20, 1965; his son, Ron (Tina) Schlemmer of New Philadelphia; his daughter, Lori Yoder of Newcomerstown; and his grandchildren Mason and Maggie Schlemmer and Trista and Cole Yoder.

Cremation will be cared for through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. No public visitation or service will be held.

Memorial contributions in Howard’s memory may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
