Holly Jo Cardani

Holly Jo Cardani, age 47, of New Philadelphia died early Monday, October 17, 2011, in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a yearlong battle with cancer.A daughter of Sandy Goss-Abrecht of Dover and the late James E. Goss, Sr. Holly was born in Union Hospital at Dover on November 23, 1963.While attending high school at New Philadelphia, Holly also took accounting classes at Buckeye Career Center and graduated in 1983. For the past 20 years, she has served the New Philadelphia City Schools as a custodian having most recently been assigned to York Elementary School. She also has been employed as a front desk clerk of the Comfort Inn at Dover for the past 12 years.When not working, Holly enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and grandchildren and caring for her animals.In addition to her mother, Holly is survived by her husband, Chuck Cardani; a sister, Dorenda “Dee” (Greg) Rennie of Viera, Florida; a brother, James E. Goss, Jr. of New Philadelphia; a son, Joshua Beal of Columbus; a step-daughter, Camille (Josh) Brader of Columbus; two step-sons, Paul (Lenore) Cardani of Midvale and David (Kris) Cardani of New Philadelphia; and her maternal grandmother, Viola Smith of Dover.Seven grandchildren, Carlie, Zoe, Grace, Emilee, Sara, Bella, and Joey; two nieces, Gabrielle and Shelby and two nephews, Dalton and Dustin complete the family.Cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.
