Holly Ann Hursey, 50, of Eastport, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 3, 2004, surrounded by her family. Born November 22, 1953 in Dover, Ohio, she was a daughter of Thomas Eugene (Susan) Larkin of New Philadelphia, and the late Margaret Ann (Schilling) Sweeney.After graduating from high school in Arizona, Holly joined the work force. She was employed as a district manager for D&J Gieson Corp., overseeing many businesses in the Tuscarawas Valley. She was also a member of Winfield United Methodist Church in Dover.She will long be remembered as a vibrant, giving lady, always looking for ways to bring joy and happiness to others. One memory her family will cherish is the numerous vacations at Put-N-Bay. She also loved to entertain her nieces and nephews during the holidays. In addition to her father, Holly will be sadly missed by her husband, Victor L. Hursey of Eastport. She is also survived by two step-daughters, Tammy Nicole Hursey of Scio and Shayla Nicole Coutts of Jewett; her grandfather, Clarence H. Larkin of Dover; five sisters, Mary J. Zedi and Brenda J. Murphy, both of New Philadelphia, Donna J. Myers of Dover, Barbara K. Cline of Gnadenhutten, and Cynthia F. Britton of Texas; two brothers, Thomas D. Larkin of New Philadelphia and Darrell G. Larkin of Dover; three great-aunts, Ellen Stucky and Marjorie Larkin, both of Dover, and Olwen Wilson of North Canton; brothers-in-law, Robert A. Hursey of Jewett and Thomas E. Weaver of Germano; a sister-in-law, Victoria L. Mingus of Cadiz; and 21 nieces and nephews.In addition to her mother, Holly was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emma Larkin and Ann and Clarence Schilling, and an uncle, John Schilling.Friends are invited to celebrate Holly’s life at a funeral service on Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at 10:30 AM, at Winfield United Methodist Church, 5247 SR 516 NW, Dover, with Pastor LuAnn Youngman officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia. Cremation will then take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory.In gratitude for their endless support and care, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, Inc., 201 W. 3rd St., Dover, OH, 44622.”She’ll stay with you as long as the wind blows.
