Herbert F. “Bert” Coyle, 94, of Dover, formerly of Manchester, O., died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at Country Club Retirement Campus, in Dover, where he had resided for the past four years.A son of the late Raymond and Ruby Coyle, Bert was born February 8, 1912, in Chicora, Pennsylvania.He was retired from Diamond Crystal Salt, in Akron and had also worked as a Well Driller.Bert was a member of Manchester United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting.He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Erma Crow Coyle; a daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Pat Odor, of Tampa, Fl.; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Arlene Coyle, of Camas, Wa.; a brother, Robert Coyle, of Malvern, O.; a sisters, Ella Mae Johnstone, of Dover and Judy Cropper, of Melbourne, Fl.; granddaughters, Wendy Coyle, of Grand Prairie, Canada, Joy Thompson, of Tampa, Fl. and Anne Thompson, of St. Petersburg, Fl.He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lois Nolan, Francis Argue, Cleo Greene and Jean Pealy; and brothers, Thomas and John Coyle.A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia, with Pastor David Lorah officiating. There are is no visitation and in accordance with his wish’s he will be cremated and his cremated remains buried at Manchester Cemetery.Memorial donations in Bert’s memory may be made to the Manchester United Methodist Church, 5625 Manchester Rd.
