Helen Naomi Kinsey

Helen Naomi Lindsey Kinsey, 70, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully in the company of her husband and daughters early Saturday morning at Union Hospital. Born in Moundsville, West Virginia, on November 21, 1932, she was the last surviving child of Robert Edwin Lindsey and Edna Gertrude Saffell Lindsey. She was a 1951 graduate of Moundsville High School before relocating to New Philadelphia. She worked as a clerk in the former Woolworth’s in New Philadelphia until she met and married her favorite customer, Duane F. Kinsey, who survives. Together they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 16 of this year.After her wedding, she devoted her life to taking care of her husband and four daughters; Carolyn (John) Fisher of Dover, Sue (Michael) McComb of New Philadelphia, Lori (Trace) Venus of Costa Mesa, CA, and Traci Carruthers and her companion Willard Miller of New Philadelphia. She’ll be sadly missed by her grandchildren Misty (Don) Huebner, Deidra (Roger) Casteel, Duane (Julie) Heston, Cody McComb and companion Amanda Murray, Roman McComb, Richard Strimbu, Curtis Fisher, Amber Fisher, Vanessa Strimbu, David McComb, Lindsey Venus, Kahlie Venus; and eight great-grandchildren, Dakota, Chance and Paitra Huebner, Kristyn, Kyle and Casey Casteel, and Devoni and Kailyn Heston. Helen had a special place in her heart for her niece Joyce (Roger) LeMasters of Moundsville, WV, and nephews Harry Edwin (Jan) Grimm of Moundsville, WV, and Ed (Jill) Hagloch of Navarre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Timothy Heston; sisters Marylee, Catherine and Thelma; and brothers, Billie and Robert. Friends may call Tuesday, October 14, from 5 until 8 at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory, New Philadelphia. Helen’s life will be celebrated during services Wednesday morning, October 15, at 11 AM in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. The Kinsey family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Tuscarawas County Kidney Center, 1260 Monroe St NW New Philadelphia OH 44663.
