Helen M. Belba, 86, of Midvale, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in Arbors East at Columbus following a period of declining health.A daughter of the late John and Julia (Satory) Morvecky, Helen was born February 2, 1924 in Tuscarawas County.She was a 1942 graduate of Midvale High School and was formerly employed at W.T. Grant Department Store at New PhiladelphiaHelen attended Roxford United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as having a very humble personality as well as being a loyal wife, mother and grandmother. She also was known to have great respect for her friends.Helen is survived by her children, Eugene (Judith) Belba of Westerville, William (Theresa) Belba of West Lafayette, Gary (Patricia) Belba of Gahanna and Linda (Edward) Tessmer of Pickerington; her grandchildren, Cie Ann (Daniel)Myers of Westerville, William Belba of Alliance, Rita Belba of Uhrichsville, Lisa (Adam) Reiger of Massillon, Kevin and Erik Tessmer both of Pickerington, Allison (Scott) Meredith of Gahanna, Staff Sergeant Robert (Shannon) Klink of North Carolina and Kandice (Todd) Jones of Gahanna; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Maddie Ann and Sophia Myers, Andrew Monticello, Sidney Erb and Morgan Belba and a brother, Elmer Morvecky of Melbourne, Florida.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Pete Belba who passed away on April 21, 2000 and a sister, Louise Krause.Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Helen’s life will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Henry Mooney officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
