Helen Lucille Wright, 91, of Country Club Campus, Dover, died peacefully early Sunday, June 08, 2003.Born in Stonecreek May 5, 1912, she was the last surviving child of Adam H. Brown and Elizabeth Laub Brown. Confirmed May 15, 1927, Helen was a member of Grace United Church of Christ at Stonecreek for more than 76 years. She used to teach Sunday school and actively participated in the ladies guild. Her family was important to her, and having a gift for quilting, she made each child and grandchild beautiful quilts, which they now treasure. Mrs. Wright retired as a clerk in the former W.T. Grant Company, in New Philadelphia many years ago. A daughter; Judith L. (George) Yoder of Dover, and son; Richard (Marianne) Wright of Newcomerstown, survive, as does four grandchildren; Christopher (Julie) Yoder of Gahanna, O, Beth (Scott) Miller of Dover, Andrew (Tiffini) Wright of New Philadelphia, and Lindsey Wright of Dover, and a great-granddaughter Jordan Lee Miller of Dover. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death in addition to her husband of nearly fifty years, Wilmer S. Wright who died April 4, 1973. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 until 8 pm at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia. Rev. Janet Matthews will officiate funeral services Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at 11 am in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial, alongside her husband, will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. Following the committal service, a memorial reception will be held in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home.
