Helen Jeanette Hudson

Helen Jeanette Hudson, age 88 of Coshocton, Ohio, died peacefully early Monday morning, February 28, 2005, in Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. Born in South Haven, Michigan on August 31, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Richard Nelson and Edith Mae VanOcker Arentz. Helen graduated high school in Michigan, and spent most of her life as a homemaker in Michigan, and in Zephyrhills, Florida before she relocated to Coshocton to reside with her daughter Dorothy. In 1942, she married Gerald Hudson in Michigan. The couple spent nearly forty years together before Gerald’s death in 1981. Survivors include six children; Thomas (Lucy) Hudson of Slidell, Louisiana, Jacquelyn Aslinger of Florida, Dorothy (George) Chutter of Coshocton, OH, Richard Hudson of Del Rio, Texas, Diane Waters of Zephyrhills, Florida, Terry (Robin) Hudson of Williamsburg, VA; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. She’ll be sadly missed by two sisters, Louise (Don) Cook of Hastings, Michigan, and Doris Foote of Plainwell, Michigan, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by brothers Albert, Elmer, Robert, Richard, William and Duane, and a sister, Esthel. There are no calling hours or public services scheduled. Cremation will be conducted under the care and direction of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
