Helen Jean “Toots” Aubihl, 82, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in Union Hospital at Dover, Ohio.A daughter of the late William and Cora (Ridgeway) Knisely, Helen Jean was born October 10, 1924 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.She attended New Philadelphia High School. Over the years, she was employed at Jaffee’s, Hart’s Department Store and the City of New Philadelphia Income Tax Office. Helen Jean enjoyed working puzzles and sewing.She is survived by two children, Burrell Richard Aubihl of New Philadelphia and Georgia Carol McCreery and her husband William of Barnhill; grandchildren, Bryan Aubihl, William Richard Aubihl, Jeanne McCreery and Lee (Missy) McCreery; great-grandchildren, Carol Ann and David Aubihl, William, Dusty, Ben and Tessa Nicholson and Vanessa and Brandon McCreery; her special companion, Robert Waddington of New Philadelphia; one brother, Don Knisely of Dover; one sister, Mary Jane (Albert) Sandy of Dover and two nephews, Dr. William (Marilyn) Walklett of Florida and Arthur Joseph (Bev) Barke of Texas.Helen Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Burrell Richard Aubihl who passed away May 10, 1984 and two brothers, Sonny and Howard.Family and friends may call on Friday, April 20, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A funeral service celebrating Helen Jean’s life will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover with Rev. Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.Memorial contributions may be made in Helen Jean’s honor to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622.
